Lisa Hansmann

Lisa Hansmann is a director at Foundry Logic, where she is focused on scaling businesses that address structural supply-demand imbalances in the U.S. economy. She was previously a principal at Engine Ventures, a venture capital firm that invests in translating breakthroughs in science and engineering, with a focus on climate and industrial technologies. 

Lisa served in the Biden Administration as special assistant to the president and senior advisor in the White House Chief of Staff鈥檚 office, where she drove implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and CHIPS and Science Act. From 2021 to 2023, she was a senior policy advisor at the White House National Economic Council, where she focused on industrial strategy and energy market resilience, as well as the design and implementation of the Biden Administration鈥檚 Competition Executive Order and student debt relief policy. Prior to joining the Biden administration, Lisa worked as an economic advisor for Sen. Elizabeth Warren. 

Lisa has also worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. 

She holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and a B.A. in History from Yale University.
